Where should i look for info or possibility of converting a gas block to run on diesel? is it as simple as bolting on compatible diesel heads, since fueling and valve etc are in head? what about having a head machined?
thanks

The only gas engine I know of that was converted to diesel was the Oldsmobile 350 in the 70's. However they used a hardened alloy crankshaft and larger main bearings.

Can't do this. Diesel's need to withstand huge internal loads as compared to gas engines. For instance, typical comp in a gas engine cylinder may be 150 ps1 and 1000 in a diesel, and, because of this, cranks, rods, pistons...it's all beefed up.
